To celebrate the release of our latest advert starring the straight-talking Yorkshire Terry, we hosted a right Yorkshire event bringing all the joys of God's Own Country to London.
We decided to host the event after our research showed dog owners across the country showed huge appreciation for Yorkshire, with the scenery, friendly people, pubs and food coming out on top for what the county does best. As part of our mission to make natural nutrition accessible and affordable for all pets we made all these favourite things available at a special event for owners nationwide to enjoy.
We opened the doors to our Yorkshire Embassy, where London pooches could claim ‘dual gnash-ionality’ with an edible passport and enjoy a dog-friendly Yorkshire Pudding filled with our delicious grain free wet dog food at Six Park Place on the outskirts of Green Park.
Our grain free natural wet dog food is proudly made in the UK with fresh meat ingredients and added vitamins and minerals. Every meal is freshly prepared with our unique FreshCook® process to lock in nutrition and flavour, so it made the perfect topper for pups to enjoy in a Yorkshire pud.
Plus we had treats for pet parents too, with free Yorkshire beers from the chaps at Saltaire Brewery and hearty canapés alongside TV’s The Yorkshire Vet, Peter Wright, and star of the Harringtons advert Yorkshire Terry himself.
At Harringtons, we know that pet parents treat their dogs like part of the family and want to provide them with the best possible diets. 47 per cent of people surveyed believe that a high percentage of meat indicates a high quality dog food.
Peter Wright, Vet for Harringtons, said: “There’s a real trend for owners to ‘humanise’ their pets, loving them as they would a relative or friend – and even seeing them as part of the community.
“Owners want nothing but the best for their beloved dogs, with freshly prepared meat, vegetables and gravy (ideally with recognisable ingredients) in every bite seen as key to giving them a happy, healthy life.
“I want to reassure all pet owners, including those rightly worried about money, that quality pet nutrition needn’t cost the earth. Dogs deserve, and can enjoy, posh nosh at a proper price.”
